Teaching, for me, is not about delivering content—it’s about nurturing curiosity, building confidence, and empowering learners to transfer knowledge into action. My approach is rooted in scaffolding: I design learning experiences that meet students where they are, then guide them upward with clarity, compassion, and challenge. I use Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles to create multiple entry points—visual, auditory, tactile, and inquiry-based – so every learner can engage meaningfully. Progress isn’t measured by scores alone, but by confidence, reflection, and the ability to apply learning in new contexts. These values are shaped by my work in the Climb and Clinic programs, where growth is visible not just in outcomes, but in ownership.
I am passionate about Education and Sustainability – not just as a concept, but as a way of thinking, living, and leading. To me, it’s about making choices that honour the present and the future, whether that’s through scientific innovation, mindful consumption, or community action.
My interest in Chemistry, especially its medicinal and environmental applications, has shown me how science can be a tool for healing – not only of individuals, but of ecosystems and societies. I’m drawn to the intersection where research meets responsibility, and I believe that education is one of the most powerful catalysts for behavioral change.
Alongside my scientific pursuits, music has shaped how I connect with others and express myself. Whether performing in ensembles or leading as a conductor, I’ve learned the value of harmony—both literal and metaphorical. These experiences have deepened my commitment to service and outreach, especially in sustainability education. I want to help others understand that change doesn’t have to be overwhelming; it can start with small, intentional shifts. Through platforms like The Brain Sprout Podcast, I hope to cultivate minds and spark conversations that lead to lasting, meaningful impact.
Whether in science or music, my ethos is grounded in Service. I believe that leadership roles are not about titles, but rather they are about impacts and outcomes. From nurturing welfare in research communities to orchestrating national science events, I exemplify how passion can be a vehicle for change. I try to contribute in activities that build inclusive communities and foster a culture of empathy.
